Посивил вот этот плагин: @tik-categories-with-thumbs-1. На гдефолтной теме рилииет, как надо - выводит категории с картинками сеткой.

А на шаблоне odio категории выводятся друг за другом вертикально. Может, кто знает, что надо поменять в xml-файле?

Вам шаблон нужно править скорее всего
